“A Multi-Sectoral Dialogue on Tackling Substance Abuse and Strengthening Community Resilience”
Overview:
The conclave, conducted on 28th June 2025 at the IMHANS Seminar Hall, Kozhikode, was organized by the District Social Justice Office in association with the Creative Foundation as part of the Puthulahariyilekk campaign under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan. The initiative aimed to bring together stakeholders from legal, enforcement, forensic, psychological, and community domains to examine the challenges in implementing the NDPS Act and to frame people-centred, multi-sectoral responses to substance abuse. By integrating institutional knowledge with field-level experiences, the conclave sought to enhance public understanding of drug abuse and promote collaborative strategies for prevention, rehabilitation, and legal reform.
