The Constitution Day celebrations – We The People, hosted under the guidance of District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh IAS, aimed to deepen students' understanding of constitutional values, rights, and duties, and foster civic engagement through interactive programs such as quizzes, mock parliaments, and panel discussions, promoting a youth-led spirit of democracy.

Activities/Programs:

  • ‘Conquest’ Quiz Competition: Over 50 schools participated, testing students' knowledge on constitutional history, law, and democratic values.

  • Mock Parliament Sessions: Simulated parliamentary proceedings in schools to engage students in legislative thinking and governance.

  • Panel Discussion on Constitutional Values: Legal experts discussed topics like constitutional morality, youth involvement in democracy, and legal awareness.

  • Open Mic Session: A vibrant public session, entirely conceptualized and coordinated by DCIP interns, encouraged citizens to express their talents and ideas.


Outcome:

  • Successfully engaged students from over 50 schools, promoting constitutional literacy and critical thinking.

  • Created platforms for youth to actively participate in civic dialogue and develop leadership skills through public engagement.

  • Strengthened the bond between legal experts and students, facilitating discussions on the importance of democracy and legal rights.

  • Highlighted the critical role of DCIP interns in organizing and executing meaningful community engagement initiatives.
