Overview:
On 26th June 2025, observed as International Anti-Drug Day, DCIP interns organized a flash mob in front of the Kozhikode Collectorate as part of the “Two Million Pledge” campaign spearheaded by the Kozhikode District Panchayat with the support of local self-government bodies and various government and non-government organizations. Conducted under the guidance of the Kozhikode District Administration, the Social Justice Department, and the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, the initiative aimed to set a record in mass participation against substance abuse while reinforcing a strong social message. The flash mob, cultural programmes, and mass pledge created a vibrant platform for awareness, highlighting the need for collective action and youth-driven engagement.

Activities / Programs:
A flash mob organized by DCIP interns at 10:30 AM in front of the Collectorate.
Cultural performances – songs and dance programmes with anti-drug themes.
A gathering of over 400 staff members, interns, and workers from various departments at 11:30 AM for the pledge session at the Civil Station.
Awareness messages were delivered by the Additional District Magistrate on the importance of the Two Million Pledge.
Outcome:
Strengthened the visibility of the Two Million Pledge as one of the largest anti-drug awareness campaigns in the state.
Fostered community participation and created a sense of solidarity against substance abuse.
Reinforced the role of DCIP interns as active contributors to the Puthulahariyilekk campaign.
Promoted creative and innovative modes of awareness such as flash mobs, songs, and cultural performances.
