I remember joining DCIP out of pure curiosity, not really knowing what awaited me.

Few of my friends experienced working with the District Collector earlier, and their stories fascinated me. Back in my school days, I was part of “Nammude Kozhikode” programs, which had already planted a spark of interest in understanding how things function behind the scenes.
Being part of DCIP gave me an entirely new perspective. I began to see the inner workings of district administration—its strengths, its limitations, and the sheer effort that goes into making the “system” run. It was eye-opening to witness how policies, ideas, and actions came together to impact lives on the ground.
One of my proudest moments was when I took an initiative to organize a district-level quiz competition on behalf of World Human Rights Day. The thrill of planning, coordinating, and finally seeing students from across the district participate, was unforgettable.
But if I had to pick my favorite memory, it would be the one where our team conducted an online new year celebration collaborating with RJ Jaisal through our most popular social media handle. Watching the responses pour in, realizing that we had managed to reach and engage thousands, felt like being part of something much bigger.
Looking back, what began as a mere curiosity, turned into a journey of learning, contribution, and growth. DCIP didn’t just show me how a district works; it showed me how passion and initiative can create impact.
