"Testing Tools, Improving Nutrition"


Overview:

The Mid-Day Meal Pilot Survey, carried out under the Saukhya Project, was conducted across 17 schools in Kozhikode as directed by District Collector Shri. Snehil Kumar Singh IAS. Implemented by DCIP interns, the survey aimed to test the functionality and soundness of a digital Google Form tool developed to assess the Mid-Day Meal Programme. It focused on identifying gaps in nutrition, kitchen infrastructure, hygiene, and delivery mechanisms, while also incorporating feedback from school heads to refine the questionnaire for large-scale data collection. The exercise marked an important step toward improving public nutrition governance through field-based evidence and youth-led evaluation.
