Recognizing Excellence: Celebrating Campus Contributions to Community Development

Overview:
The Campuses of Kozhikode (CoK) initiative, an extended arm of the District Collector’s Internship Programme (DCIP), engages colleges across the district in diverse social interventions. Interns regularly follow up on activities through direct interaction and digital platforms, collecting reports and shortlisting institutions for recognition. As part of this continuous process, the annual award ceremony, conducted under the guidance of District Collector Shri Snehil Kumar Singh IAS, was designed to celebrate the outstanding contributions of colleges that have demonstrated leadership and innovation in community engagement. The event aimed to acknowledge excellence across themes such as women and child welfare, waste management, marginalized community support, anti-drug initiatives, e-literacy, disaster management, mental health, and legal awareness, while inspiring campuses to sustain and expand their efforts.
