The campaign focused on popularizing unexplored locations in Kozhikode district with tourism potential and was initiated during the period of District Collector Tej Lohit Reddy. As a DCIP initiative, Sarkeet aimed to expand the district’s tourism industry by highlighting its diverse geographical features—beaches, hills, backwaters, plateaus, and more. Through crowdsourcing, thematic categorization, and structured information, the campaign created a systematic approach to promoting lesser-known destinations while encouraging active citizen participation.
Key Highlights:

Methods of Outreach:
Crowdsourcing – Citizens actively shared new locations and photographs through social media.
Poster Series on Social Media – Primary medium for showcasing curated information.
Thematic Circuits – Structured presentation of tourist spots according to varied interests.
Strategic Timing – Release of posters on Fridays to align with weekend travel plans.
