Overview:
SIR Day was a district-wide awareness initiative conducted across colleges in Kozhikode to promote the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) under District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh IAS. The programme aimed to create a shared moment of civic reflection by synchronising activities across campuses and reinforcing the importance of voter enrolment and participation.
Key Highlights

Activities / Programmes:
Simultaneous ringing of the S.I.R bell across colleges to mark S.I.R Day.
Screening of the official S.I.R Bell awareness video in college campuses.
Setting up of Democracy Walls to encourage dialogue on electoral rights.
Establishment of S.I.R Help Desks to assist students with voter enrolment and form-related support.
Distribution of standardised digital materials including posters, templates, voter forms, and help desk guides through a shared resource drive.
On-ground and remote monitoring of execution by interns assigned to clusters of colleges.
Outcome:
Reinforced awareness of S.I.R among college students through a low-barrier, synchronised intervention.
Enabled colleges to participate despite academic constraints by minimising logistical requirements.
Strengthened coordination between student coordinators, teachers, and district-level ELC teams.
Provided interns with experience in decentralised coordination, stakeholder communication, and adaptive planning.
