Overview:

SIR Day was a district-wide awareness initiative conducted across colleges in Kozhikode to promote the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) under District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh IAS. The programme aimed to create a shared moment of civic reflection by synchronising activities across campuses and reinforcing the importance of voter enrolment and participation.

Key Highlights

Activities / Programmes:

  • Simultaneous ringing of the S.I.R bell across colleges to mark S.I.R Day.

  • Screening of the official S.I.R Bell awareness video in college campuses.

  • Setting up of Democracy Walls to encourage dialogue on electoral rights.

  • Establishment of S.I.R Help Desks to assist students with voter enrolment and form-related support.

  • Distribution of standardised digital materials including posters, templates, voter forms, and help desk guides through a shared resource drive.

  • On-ground and remote monitoring of execution by interns assigned to clusters of colleges.
