Overview:

The campaign aimed to raise awareness among students about the hidden sugar content in common foods and promote healthier dietary choices. Initially suggested by the District Collector, the idea was later developed and taken forward under the guidance of the Assistant Collector, ensuring effective execution. DCIP interns carried out the “Sugar Board” initiative in collaboration with schools registered under the Seed Programme of Mathrubhumi, with the effort later expanding to other schools across the district. The campaign emphasized interactive learning, data-backed messaging, and community participation to create lasting awareness about nutrition and lifestyle-related health risks. Interns coordinated research, designed educational boards, and facilitated student engagement to ensure maximum visibility and impact.
