Sampoorna
Background
Sampoorna is a health initiative coming under the comprehensive project of “Compassionate Kozhikode” of the Kozhikode district administration during the tenure of District Collector N Prashanth IAS in order to ensure residents have access to quality medical treatment. Run in cooperation with hospitals in the district, it guides people to use existing insurance schemes and bridges gaps in benefits for comprehensive care.
The Sampoorna project is a critical health initiative designed to ensure universal access to quality medical treatment in Kozhikode. The project guides citizens on how to effectively use existing insurance schemes and fills any "missing benefits" through active cooperation with hospitals across the district. It serves both BPL and APL families, making healthcare affordable for all. People in the BPL category pay no premium, while APL families pay a minimal amount, ensuring financial constraints do not hinder access to necessary medical care.
